Why is my MOT expiry date incorrect?

If your MOT expiry date is incorrect, it’s usually because it can take up to 5 days for it’s expiry date to update after your most recent MOT test.
When is my MOT due?

While vehicles don’t require their first MOT until they’re 3 years old, they’re required to undergo MOT tests every year after. If you’re unsure of the exact date that your MOT will be due, use our Free MOT Check at the top of the page to find out.
Is my vehicle exempt from MOT tests?
There are only 2 circumstances in which your car would be exempt from an MOT:
1. The car is younger than 3 years old
2. Your car is considered a ‘classic vehicle’ and has had no substantial changes to it within the last 30 years
